Sage appoints Silicon Valley stalwart to board

Tech giant Sage has announced the appointment of former Cisco SVP marketing Soni Jiandani as a non-executive director.

In her 22 years with the California tech company, Jiandani helped establish multi-billion dollar revenue streams and was heavily involved in the fostering and acquisition of start-ups which saw Cisco expand into new markets.

She will begin work with the Newcastle-headquartered firm on February 28th2017.

Sage chairman Donald Brydon said: “I am delighted that Soni is joining the Sage board.

“Her experience of driving industry transformation through market disruption as well as her extensive marketing experience will help drive the continued transformation of Sage.”

Newcastle-headquartered Sage recruited high-profile female tech role model Jacqueline de Rojas – president of techUK – to an executive position last year.
