Ethereum, the world’s second most valuable crypto, has continued its recent price surge.

ETH is worth $4,371 at the time of writing (7am UK) after a 2% rise in the last 24 hours.

The smart contract blockchain platform is 4% up over seven days.

SHIBA INU (SHIB) continues its newfound dominance over parent coin Dogecoin despite a slight drop in the last 24 hours.

The Ethereum-based spinoff from DOGE is ninth in the cryptocurrency valuation table, one place and $3 billion above it, with a market cap of $39bn. SHIB has gained around 71% in value in a week.

DOGE, meanwhile, gained 1.5% to sit below 28 cents, which puts it 4% up over seven days.

Market leader Bitcoin (BTC) is around $61,700 after a slight gain and down 1% on last Tuesday morning.

Polkadot (DOT) surged a massive 13% to almost $50, which leaves it 11% up over seven days.

Cardano (ADA) sits at $1.96 thanks to a slight rise and is 10% down in a week, while Ripple’s XRP is at $1.10 after remaining static. XRP is 2% down over seven days.

Solana (SOL) is at $204 following a 2% drop in the last 24 hours and 2% down in a week.

Binance Coin (BNB) gained 4% to $541, up 12% in a week.

The overall market cap of the almost 13,500 coins is at $2.67 trillion after a 1.8% rise in the last 24 hours.
