Ripple and Solana both lost value in the last 24 hours as most of the top coins remained stable.
The market had bounced back in the previous 24 hours following prolonged losses beginning at the weekend.
At the time of writing (7am UK), Ripple’s XRP is worth 98 cents, dropping 2% since Thursday morning, and is 11% down in a week.
SOL is at $143 after a 3% loss and 4% down over seven days. With a market cap of £42.4 billion, it is £3.2bn behind XRP in the battle for sixth spot in the valuation league table.
Polkadot (DOT) followed a 16% rise in the previous 24 hours to grow 1.5% and reach $32.24. However it is 12% down on its price last Friday.
Smart contract blockchain platform Ethereum (ETH), the world’s second most valuable crypto, lost 1.5% and is around $3,075. It is 14% down in a week.
Market leader Bitcoin (BTC) enjoyed a slight increase to top $44,200, which puts the original cryptocurrency 8% down over seven days.

Cardano (ADA), in third spot in the valuation table following a meteoric rise, climbed slightly to $2.27. The proof-of-stake blockchain platform is 6% down over seven days.
Binance Coin (BNB) shed 2% to $373 and is 12% below its value a week ago.
Meme coin Dogecoin (DOGE) lost 2% to sit just above 22 cents and is 15% down over seven days.
The overall market cap of the more than 12,100 coins barely moved and remains at $1.97 trillion.
