Digital triage provider Doctorlink has joined UK-headquartered digital health company HealthHero.
HealthHero operates in the UK, Ireland and Germany, providing digital healthcare services and now, with the acquisition of Doctorlink, online triage and health risk assessment.
The completion of the Doctorlink deal, in which Eight Roads sold its stake in Doctorlink to the London firm, follows its recent acquisition of Berlin-based telemedicine platform Fernarzt.
HealthHero provides virtual healthcare in the form of 24/7 access to doctors and expert clinicians via a suite of tools including video calls, online chats and phone.
Doctorlink provides care for over 12.5m patients in the UK across more than 1500 GP surgeries in the NHS.
The digital triage provider was in a period of accelerated user acquisition before the announcement, having seen a 250% increase in its active user base and 900% growth in video consultations over the last nine months, while the number of GP clinics using the platform had tripled.
