The Financial Times has hired Cait O’Riordan as its chief product and information officer, replacing its former CIO Christina Scott.
The Financial Times CEO John Riddig said he is delighted with the appointment.
Riddig added: “Her experience in leading strong product and engineering teams to develop multi-channel digital products is vital to our strategy as we seek to accelerate the FT’s global growth and paid-for readership.”
O’Riordan , the former broadcast journalist, has previously worked in several senior product roles overseeing the BBC’s cross-platform digital product for the London 2012 Olympics.
O’Riordan’s role will lead the FT Group’s platform and product strategy as well as its development and operations.
