Electronic Theatre has secured £8.6 million funding.
The London firm offers immersive games for groups of up to six players in interactive digital rooms.
Its featured technologies include projection mapping, touch screens, motion tracking and surround sound.
Co-founded by Tough Mudder co-founder Will Dean, Electronic Theatre opened its first ‘Lightbox Adventure’ pods on London’s Southbank in October and has since welcomed more than 3,500 people.
In 2020 the firm plans to roll out nine new units in the UK and up to three units in the US, with a target of 1,000 units globally in the next five years.
