Broadcaster and author Clare Balding has teamed up with award-winning Lancashire manufacturer Group55 to launch her new petcare brand.
Unconditional Love has been rolled out nationally across all Pets at Home stores following 18 months of development.
Chorley-based Group55 is a private-label manufacturer of personal care, petcare and home care products and employs around 140 people.
Stephen Turner, founder and chairman of Group55, said: “Having developed the brand with Clare Balding, it’s incredibly rewarding to see 18 months of hard work, collaboration and investment come to life.
“At Group55, we work alongside entrepreneurs and high-profile talent to invest in, develop and build authentic consumer brands with long-term potential.
“Unconditional Love is a fantastic example of that approach, combining Clare’s genuine passion for dogs with our expertise in product innovation, manufacturing and commercial development.
“A huge thank you to Leon Harlow and the outstanding team at YMU for their vision, creativity and partnership throughout this journey.”
Turner founded Group55 in 1999 at the age of 25 with just £700.
He has since grown the business without external investment, with turnover projected to exceed £21m in the current financial year.
Turner was included in BusinessCloud’s Founder 250 list earlier this year.
Earlier this year Group55 won three awards at the BIBAs 2026.
Leon Harlow, commercial director at talent and influencer management company YMU, said: “Clare’s lifelong love of dogs is well known – from hosting Crufts, to her TV shows and best-selling animal books – and she spotted a gap in the market for high-performing grooming products that are better for dogs and kinder to the environment.”
