Ex-KPMG partner Richard Stark has joined Grant Thornton.
Stark, who spent more than 20 years at KPMG, said he was ‘thrilled’ to lead Grant Thornton’s North West corporate finance team.
He will be working alongside Peter Terry, while also supporting the wider regional and national practice.
Stark said: “It’s a privilege to be joining the firm at such an exciting time, following our private equity investment from Cinven in April 2025, and be part of the leadership of our 125+ strong corporate finance practice.”
Stark has been advising on transactions for more than 16 years, working on more than 60 deals.
His experience includes multiple partial exits to private equity, full exits to strategic trade buyers in the UK and internationally, as well as listed company work.
Peter Terry, a partner at Grant Thornton UK and practice lead in the North West, said: “Welcome on board Rick. Very much looking forward to working together in the years to come.”
Alex Parry, a corporate finance associate director at Grant Thornton, added: “Great to have you as part of our team Rick, looking forward to working together.”
