The final pitch on Dragons’ Den tonight is two London founders aiming to meet all your pickling needs.
Sylt Pickling was founded in 2021 by friends and former colleagues Ash Ringhus and Temi Olugbenga.
They set out to solve what they deemed to be a huge problem: how long it took to pickle things at home, due to the time it took to boil and cool down the vinegar-based solution.
And with ready-pickled produce heavily restricted, they set out to turn any fruit or veg into delicious homemade pickles.
The flavours they sell include:
- Dill & Mustard: A classic combination with a fresh, slightly sweet undertone and a tangy kick
- Scotch Bonnet & Lemon: A bold twist with fiery heat complemented by bright zesty lemon
- Juniper & Sage: A woodsy, aromatic quality with pine-like notes and warm, earthy flavours
- Spiced Apple with Cinnamon & Cardamom: A sweet and warmly spiced option, excellent for fruits and sweeter vegetables
- Balsamic & Basil: A sophisticated blend with rich, slightly sweet depth and fresh, peppery notes
They also offer subscriptions; pickling workshops; and, alongside the online business, are stocked in 38 UK stores – plus others in Amsterdam and Croatia!
