David Hodgson and Will Willis, co-founders of alcohol-free wine company Zeno, were the first business to enter the Dragons’ Den tonight.
They pitched their ‘prestige, alcohol-liberated’ wines – which are low in sugar – to guest judge Tinie Tempah and regular Dragons Peter Jones, Touker Suleyman, Deborah Meaden and Steven Bartlett.
They walked away without an offer.
Veterans of the wine trade, the pair launched Zeno in 2022 to improve on the market incumbents which tasted more like juice.
David – who had gone alcohol-free for health reasons – and Will joined forces with their partner organic vineyard in Spain and a team of experts.
Zeno has five wines in its portfolio: viura, a crisp and fruity Spanish white wine; bobal, a rosé; a tempranillo cabernet red; a sparkling white; and a sparkling rosé.
Since they filmed the episode, these wines have been recommended by publications including The Independent, The Guardian, ITV’s This Morning, The Times and The Irish Independent.
