Alexander Brennan has stepped back from his executive director role at listed Manchester firm Altitude.

After Nichole Stella left Altitude Group plc in July 2025 after eight years in the role, Brennan stepped up from his position of non-exec chair to support COO Deborah Wilkinson then also CFO Drew Whibley, who joined in September 2025.

The business subsequently reported a rise in annual revenues – and Brennan has now concluded his tenure as exec chair and returned to his role as non-exec chairman.

The technology-enabled personalised branded merchandise provider, which has a base in Philadelphia in the United States, floated in 2000 and is listed on the London Stock Exchange’s junior AIM market.

It provides eCommerce sites and an online design tool for branded products, while its full-service creative team specialises in promotional marketing materials, including email campaigns, social media posts, video, web design, print flyers and brochures.

Altitude said Brennan, who was only appointed non-exec chair in February 2025, took charge ‘at a pivotal time for the business’.

“The board is confident that the company’s executive leadership team is strong, focused and well-positioned to deliver on the board’s strategic ambitions,” it said this morning.

“With the executive team clearly focused and operating effectively, Alexander and the board consider this the right moment for him to return to his role as non-executive chairman.”

Helping business leaders turn ambition into reality

Martin Varley serves as chief strategy officer, while Robert Wigley was appointed as a non-executive director in March 2026, joining existing NED Peter Hallett.

“It has been a privilege to serve Altitude in this capacity during what has been a genuinely defining period for the business,” said Brennan.

“I am proud of what the team has achieved together and deeply grateful for the trust placed in me by my board colleagues and our shareholders.

“We have a business to be proud of, a talented, committed team and a clear strategic direction, and I look forward to supporting the business as it moves into its next phase of growth from a position of real strength.”

Brennan was ousted as chair of Big Technologies plc late last year following a shareholder revolt led by controversial founder Sara Murray OBE.
