THG’s former chief people officer has landed a new job at ‘Europe’s fastest-growing company’.
Ashley Ramrachia, who recently closed Manchester-based tech training provider Academy after five years, has joined tech-powered wellbeing marketplace Healf.
Ramrachia launched Academy in 2020 after helping grow THG from 50 to 5,000 people ahead of its IPO in 2020.
He joins ‘rocket ship’ Healf as chief performance officer, with the startup recently named the fastest-growing in Europe by the Financial Times and ranked number one on the Sifted 100 list for the UK and Ireland.
London-based Healf was launched in 2020 by brothers Lestat McCree and Max Clarke and has already topped £100m ARR.
Ramrachia’s hire is seen as crucial as the wellness retailer targets £1bn in the next three years.
Writing on LinkedIn, he revealed how the move to Healf came about after CEO Lestat McCree called him during a family holiday.
“He said ‘Ash, we’re really going to go big here. Is there any world in which you’d join the mission?’,” recalled Ramrachia.
“This place is a rocket ship. The energy is electric, the culture is infectious, and more importantly, it has real soul. This is going to be a very big business, very fast.
“If we seize this moment, we will transform the relationship tens of millions of people have with their own wellbeing. So I’m all in.”
Ramrachia said it wasn’t an easy decision as he’d just moved his family to a country farmhouse in Nottinghamshire after nearly 20 years in Manchester .

“Basing myself in London during the week was non-trivial for our family,” he added.
“But the chance to do work that genuinely matters, with people who are building something rare, and to build a foundation for our little girl’s future. Well, Natalie and I both felt we should lean into this.
“So I’ve joined as chief performance officer, and it’s a role that could only really exist at Healf. There’s plenty to do. Scaling internationally. Accelerating the wellbeing intelligence layer.
“But the real job is to design what a company should actually look like when the frontier is moving this fast.“Get this right, and we’ll build something new and important.
“A company that invests as deeply in its people’s growth, wellbeing, and AI capability as it does in the customers it serves.
“And a new model for how a company, its people, and AI can work together to expand human flourishing.”
McCree replied: “So excited to build the future with you. LFG!”
