West Ham United have signed a multi-year extension of its partnership with Cheltenham-based cybersecurity firm Salus.

Since the partnership began in 2024, Salus has helped protect the Premier League club’s growing operations, delivering a 30% annual reduction in cyber vulnerabilities and a 40% faster remediation turnaround.

The renewed deal strengthens the company’s involvement to ensure The Irons remain protected against the latest industry threats.

As part of the agreement, Salus branding will receive increased visibility on West Ham’s matchday LED systems at the London Stadium and across the club’s digital platforms.

“Over the past 12 months, we have built a fantastic working relationship with Salus to assess and refine our cyber security protocols,” said Mo Ali, director of IT at West Ham United.

“Primarily, we needed to conduct extensive PEN Testing of our networks, and after the successful implementation of their recommendations we will also be working with them on aligning our internal policies, processes, and personnel with the NIST Cybersecurity Framework (CSF), identifying and strengthening our infrastructure.

“Having a partner with Salus’ expertise gives me the utmost confidence that we will continue to have robust processes in place to protect us against new and emerging cyber-attacks that continue to threaten our industry.”

Greg King, sales director at Salus, added: “After a very successful year of supporting West Ham United’s cyber maturity roadmap through multiple workstreams, it’s very exciting to continue providing consultancy through our technical, assurance, and managed services capabilities.

“The last 12 months have helped forge a strong relationship of collaboration and trust between our two organisations and we look forward to building on this foundation and further developing West Ham United’s cyber capabilities.

“Through penetration testing, NIST consultancy, data privacy enhancements, cyber training, and managed security solutions, Salus has positioned West Ham United as an early adopter of leading regulatory standards and best practices.”
