Award-winning Tangerine Communications has joined forces with fellow North West agency Active Profile to launch a new unit specialising in property and tech.

The move signals the end of Active Profile as an agency after 21 years and will see founder and CEO Anna Heyes head up the brand-new unit.

The new unit is supported by Manchester-based Tangerine’s 110-strong team of integrated PR and social media specialists.

Sam Gregory, co-CEO at Tangerine, said: “Welcoming Anna to set up the new unit is another exciting step forward for Tangerine. Her expertise and experience opens up fresh opportunities for our clients and further strengthens our credentials in tech and property.

“It builds on the momentum we’ve created through our investment in innovation, from Project 10 and real-time content optimisation to the launch of Crisis Lab, our AI-powered simulation tool for reputation management.”

Heyes founded Active Profile in 2004 and opened offices in Manchester and Liverpool to support a portfolio of national and global clients in the property and tech space.

She’s also the founder of Tech Climbers, which showcased the region’s top performing IP rich, product-led technology businesses.

Heyes added: “After more than 20 years leading Active Profile, I’m excited to set up this new unit at Tangerine.

“The agency has a reputation for excellence nationwide and felt like a natural fit for my ambitions.

“It’s known for being brave, collaborative and focused on making a real difference to clients’ commercial goals. I’m excited about what can be achieved as part of the growing Tangerine team.

“We’re moving our clients, Tech Climbers and a team of talented marketers into a bigger platform to grow and expand what we do.”
