Three leading figures from the North East tech industry have thrown their weight behind an organisation helping to champion and grow the region’s digital sector.

Dynamo North East, the region’s largest tech sector membership organisation, has bolstered its advisory board with the appointments of Taya Reynolds, Fay Cooper and Lynsey Robinson.

Newcastle University alumni Reynolds was recently appointed CTO at Hays Travel and brings deep expertise in digital transformation and change management.

Cooper, chief product officer at Scrumconnect Consulting and formerly Deputy Director at DWP Digital, will add knowhow in the fields of customer experience and design.

Robinson, deputy director of economic development and operations at Teesside University, is responsible for driving the growth and development of the digital sector within Tees Valley and supporting the wider economy to adopt digital technologies.

She said: “Dynamo gives us an opportunity as universities to really interact in a meaningful way with a collective of companies and make sure that we are truly listening and finding new ways of collaborating and working together.

“It is really important because it gives us that interface and the opportunity to have different conversations, meet different people and bring different voices together that really represent the North East as a great place for tech.”

James Bunting, chair of the Dynamo North East advisory board, added: “We are thrilled that Fay, Lynsey and Taya have been successful in joining our advisory board following our recent recruitment drive.

“Their vast expertise, industry knowledge, and strategic vision will be invaluable in supporting our vision to make the North East a better place to start and grow a tech business or department.

“The appointments build on the evolution of Dynamo’s journey as we continue to champion innovation, encourage collaboration and drive economic growth across the region.”

The three appointments follow the departure of board advisors Lauren Bradshaw, James Beard, and Andy Lawson, who James Bunting hailed as having played an ‘important role in helping to strengthen the network over recent years.’
