Three new speakers have been confirmed for the launch event for the second annual GM Rising Stars of Business list.

KPMG’s Manchester office will host the event on the morning of 1st May, which will showcase some of Greater Manchester’s most exciting companies.

GM Rising Stars of Business 2025

Last week, BusinessCloud published its 200-strong list, which showcases companies from the 10 local authority areas of Bolton, Bury, Manchester, Oldham, Rochdale, Salford, Stockport, Tameside, Trafford and Wigan.

We have also compiled a list of the city region’s Ones to Watch – 40 up-and-coming businesses that are on course for success in the future – which you can find here.

The three new confirmed speakers are Tom Dunlop, CEO, Summize; Harvey Lowe, co-founder and COO, Arcube; and Janine Smith, director, GM Business Growth Hub.

They’ll be joined by Matthew Scullion, CEO of Manchester unicorn Matillion; Kids Planet founder Clare Roberts OBE; and Claire Watson, MD, Airmatic.

BusinessCloud has joined forces with GM Business Growth Hub to shine a light on Greater Manchester’s most exciting companies, with the initiative now widened to include more high-growth firms.

Last year the inaugural list was focused upon four key growth sectors. For 2025, it is being extended to include all companies which are harnessing technology for growth or making a name for themselves as leaders in innovation.

Registrations are now open for a launch event for the list on 1st May – you can sign up for free here – before a series of sector-specific roundtables.
