Global digital product consultancy firm hedgehog lab has recorded its most significant growth in nearly two decades of operation.

The Newcastle-based firm has achieved a best-ever quarter in sales in its 18-year history and will now look at expanding operations into Leeds as part of its growth model.

hedgehog lab is delivering digital experiences for clients including AJ Bell, Tesco Bank and TeachMate.

The news follows the company’s appointments of Malcolm Seagrave as its first UK managing director and Joe Thompson as its new global CTO in September 2024.

The new Leeds hub will complement the company’s existing Newcastle headquarters and its respective sales hubs in London and Boston, US.

The business plans to establish additional hubs across the North West and Scotland in the near future.

Recently appointed managing director Seagrave, along with CFO Ryan Scaife, will be based out of the new Leeds hub, where the firm will be actively recruiting.

“Our record-breaking growth is a testament to the expertise and dedication of our team,” said Sarat Pediredla, CEO of hedgehog lab.

“We don’t just build digital products – we craft cutting-edge, scalable solutions that empower businesses to stay ahead of the curve.

“Expanding into Leeds marks a significant milestone, reinforcing our commitment to investing in top-tier talent and innovation across the North of England.”
