Payments firm Primer has appointed Alex Mallet as its new chief technology officer.
The provider of infrastructure for global payments is registered in London but operates a fully remote model. Based in Berlin, Mallet will play a pivotal role in driving technological advancement at the company backed by global investors such as ICONIQ, Accel and Balderton.
Primer recently announced it is on track to achieve 400% year-on-year revenue growth in the European market as well as key partnerships with leaders in the travel, retail, and gaming sectors, including New Look, GetYourGuide and Printify.
With over 25 years’ experience in the tech sector, Mallet brings with him a wealth of experience from previous tenures at Microsoft, Amazon, and more recently, Berlin-based logistic startup Forto, where he was EVP of engineering.
With extensive experience in large-scale distributed systems, his expertise spans cloud computing, artificial intelligence and machine learning, eCommerce platforms and internal infrastructure services.
