UK firms are eyeing glory on a global level at the Modern Retail Awards.

Scaleup Dropit, which ranked highly on our RetailTech 50 this year, joins fellow tech firms Travelport, Antavo Enterprise Loyalty Cloud and AWA digital as a finalist alongside the likes of Intuit Mailchimp and Best Buy.

Dropit, founded by CEO Karin Cabili (pictured), will go up against Reel Paper: Fueling Omnichannel Scale with Flowspace in the Best Fulfilment Strategy category.

Travelport is nominated for Best Launch Campaign; Antavo for Best Subscription Strategy; and AWA digital/Woolworths for Best Transformation. British firm The Body Shop is also nominated in the Most Responsible Retailer category.

New York-based Modern Retail said the focus of many of the finalists at this year’s awards is on elevating the customer experience through personalisation and technology – both online and in-store. 

It added that the judges’ nominations illustrate how brands and retailers are reshaping the retail industry through engaging and seamless omnichannel experiences.
