How Man City’s title celebrations were captured perfectly

Technology

A UK visual engineering firm has captured Man City’s Premier League celebrations in super slow motion with its unique tech.

Based at Manchester’s The Sharp Project, G6 Moco’s best used its CINEBOTS, to capture the celebration.

The robots, originally built for industrial use, have been fully reengineered to move cameras at up to 4 meters per second with a precision of 0.02 millimetres.

The company says the effect of the rig rivals CGI but can be created in a fraction of the time and budget.

G6 Moco works alongside production companies, agencies and sometimes directly with big brands to create that perfect, one-of-a-kind shot.

Recently G6 Moco was commissioned by Manchester City to produce celebratory imagery which would sit across the club’s various platforms – social media and broadcast.

Super slow motion, lightning, pneumatics, fast robots and softwares all work together allowing us to create what would otherwise be a ‘lucky accident’ with a split second precision and infinite repetition,” explained a spokesman.“Every shot is different and thanks to our CNC machinery we can build anything in house, making your imagination the only possible limit to what we can achieve.”
