Video-based recruitment platform Gradhire has launched in the UK and has stated its goal to transform graduate recruitment.
The platform has been developed by David Heron, Founder of Gradhire, who spent over 25 years in the recruitment industry and said current methods do not support the successful hiring of graduates.
Heron said the current methods used for graduate recruitment are ‘time consuming’, ‘costly’ and ‘do not support the effective matching of talent to roles’.
The platform allows graduates to promote themselves to prospective employers by creating an online CV profile and answering a selection of pre-set video interview questions to present both their hard and soft skills.
Ideal graduates can be contacted and invited to interview after purchasing credits from the firm.
“Having handled many graduate roles during my recruitment career one of my biggest frustrations is seeing candidates entering into the wrong roles having worked so hard to graduate,” said Heron.
“By flipping the recruitment process on its head, businesses are now able to assess a graduates hard and soft skills to really understand what drives and motivates them to ensure they are recruiting the right graduates for their hiring needs.”
The Gradhire app is free for graduates to use online or as an app on both Android and iOS devices.
