A husband-and-wife team are the first founders to enter the Dragons’ Den tonight.
Imogen Royall and Matt Kenyon are serving up their spelt pasta business to the Dragons.
Made from regeneratively grown British spelt and crafted using traditional slow bronze extrusion at the brand’s HQ in Lancashire, Northern Pasta Co. is pioneering a new, better way to eat pasta – one rooted in British farming, craft and flavour.
They are hoping to secure investment to take their brand to the next level – a new production facility that will generate new jobs and bring further employment to the North of England.
Imogen said: “It’s such an exciting feeling knowing that those who tune in are about to see one of the biggest moments of our brand journey.
“We’ve been counting down the days, and we’re just so grateful for the experience. We can’t wait for our community to discover which of the Dragons love our pasta as much as they do.”
Will they make the grain with the judges?
Episode 12 of series 23 sees the return of guest judge Susie Ma alongside regular Dragons Peter Jones, Touker Suleyman, Deborah Meaden and Steven Bartlett.
The other businesses pitching in the Den tonight are The Air of the Dog, SmartyPlants and Soul Kitchen.
