A Northamptonshire-based energy company is continuing its ambitious growth plans with expansion into Manchester city centre.

Energy switching advice service Utility Bidder has acquired a new 5,177 sq ft office space in Allied London’s ABC Buildings in the Spinningfields area of the city.

The new office space offers puppy yoga sessions, a fully stocked bar and function area and discounted gym memberships for the Utility Bidder team. The building also houses an eatery.

Utility Bidder’s head office is in Corby – and alongside its northern base in Manchester city centre, the company also announced an expansion to Leicester in August 2023, opening up a recruiting drive for sales talent at the time.

“Transitioning to a more sophisticated location for our Manchester branch marks the next stage in Utility Bidder’s continuous expansion,” said CEO Chris Shaw.

“The new office space, designed to accommodate additional team members in line with our growth objectives, not only provides ample room but also boasts various advantages.

“Situated in the prime location of Manchester City Centre, the office enhances our team’s working experience, and the feedback has been overwhelmingly positive since the team has already seamlessly settled into their new environment.”

Utility Bidder is moving from its current Manchester base at 3 Hardman Square.
