London Marathon Events has announced that tech firm Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) has extended its title partnership of the London Marathon until 2029.
The 2026 TCS London Marathon takes place this Sunday, with the TCS Mini London Marathon taking place a day earlier.
TCS is a technology partner for industry-leading organisations worldwide and has been the title partner of the London Marathon since 2022, plus the event’s official technology partner since 2016.
The extended agreement covers the 2028 and 2029 editions of the TCS London Marathon, TCS Mini London Marathon and TCS Mini London Marathon in schools and strengthens a partnership that has inspired hundreds of thousands around the globe to be active.
Vinay Singhvi, Head of UK & Ireland at Tata Consultancy Services, said: “The London Marathon is one of the world’s greatest sporting events, and our partnership with London Marathon Events is built on a decade of shared purpose, trust, and innovation.
“Much like a marathon, this partnership reflects TCS’ own philosophy of long‑term commitment, perseverance, and going the distance together. Extending this partnership reflects our long‑term commitment to London, to the UK, and to the communities in which we live and work.
“Since 2016, TCS has worked alongside LME as a trusted transformation partner, using technology to bring participants and spectators closer together, set new global benchmarks for digital experience, and help drive record‑breaking participation and fundraising year-after-year.
“We are especially proud of the TCS Mini London Marathon and our £10 per‑finisher contribution, which helps inspire more young people to enjoy being active and build healthy habits for life. We are excited to continue innovating together, creating lasting community impact, and shaping the future of the London Marathon for years to come.”
Hugh Brasher, CEO of London Marathon Events, said: “We are thrilled that TCS has extended its partnership with the London Marathon for an additional two years, taking us through to 2029. TCS shares our commitment to creating a world where everyone has the opportunity to be active and lead healthy lives.
“Together, we have delivered a record-breaking era in the history of the London Marathon – combining TCS’s cutting-edge technology with London Marathon Events’ expertise in mass participation to deliver an exceptional experience. We look forward to building on this success and continuing to innovate in the years ahead.”
The partnership has spanned the most successful period in the London Marathon’s history, the most popular marathon on the planet. Since 2022, more than 219,000 people have completed either the TCS London Marathon or TCS London Marathon My Way, including a record-breaking 56,640 finishers in 2025 while a world-record-breaking 1,113,813 people entered the ballot for the 2026 edition.
More than a quarter of a billion pounds has been raised for charity by participants since 2022, including more than £87 million in 2025, another world record.
TCS’s technological expertise has helped deliver the official event app and introduced world-leading innovations such as the incredible digital TCS London Marathon Finish Line gantry. This enables friends and family to send personalised messages to participants, which are displayed on the gantry as they finish.
The partnership has also launched the stand-alone TCS Mini London Marathon and the TCS Mini London Marathon in schools events, which are key components of LME’s drive to get more children enjoying activity on a regular basis.
