Ivor and Eugene Patterson, founders of ReVibed Drinks, were the final business to pitch in Dragons’ Den tonight.
Their business ReVibed Drinks was founded during COVID when the pair experimented with a hibiscus drink.
Today the business produces a range of sparkling drinks infused with so-called superfoods, as well as superfood powders. They are made with natural ingredients and contain no sugar.
“Success for us is to grow as big as Innocent Drinks. We see them as the champions in the superfood space and we want to do it in a natural and authentic way,” Eugene said after winning a Venturefest competition in the Midlands.”
Its drink flavours today include raspberry and açai, apple and moringa, peach and hibiscus, and passionfruit and ginger.
The flavoured water – now produced from premises in Birmingham city centre- is inspired by Ivor’s Caribbean roots.
It is stocked by Ocado, featured on the Virgin Atlantic menu, and has launched nationwide into hundreds of Holland & Barrett stores.
The firm has also begun to sell purple yam ube powder in those stores – a superfood which can be used in smoothies, lattes or baking.
“I’m born and bred in Birmingham, and I wouldn’t want to do this anywhere else,” continued Eugene.
“The West Midlands has played a huge role in our journey so far, and we’re proud to be building ReVibed here in Birmingham. The ecosystem of founders, mentors, accelerators and investors really does make a difference.”
The other businesses pitching in the Den tonight were Fingagolf, Sea Sisters and Yes Friends.
