Digital agency and social enterprise Reason Digital has appointed Jo Wolfe as managing director of London, where she will head up the firm’s new office.

Wolfe has more than a decade of experience in the industry, established relationships with key contacts and a wealth of knowledge when it comes to the applications of digital innovations in the charity sector, which Reason Digital says is a key focus for the company.

In her previous role as assistant director of digital at Breast Cancer Care, Wolfe was responsible for creating and implementing the charity’s digital vision, as well as establishing the digital culture programme to educate and empower staff in digital skills. She also developed the Digital Maturity Matrix, a free tool now used by over 800 charities to assess the maturity of their digital outputs.

In her new role at Reason Digital, she will be responsible for developing existing client relationships and driving new business through ambitious partnerships. She will also play a leading role in looking strategically at the charity sector to identify new and interesting ways of utilising the company’s digital capabilities.

“The charity sector faces a host of different and complex challenges and, since these organisations are not traditionally tech-based, it can sometimes be difficult for them to modernise their processes and maximise their fundraising efforts,” Wolfe said.

“Digital innovation offers huge opportunities for addressing these issues.”

Matt Haworth, co-founder of Reason Digital, added: “As a company, our primary aim is to use our digital capabilities to make a positive impact on the clients we work with. The charity sector is an important focus for us and an area where we are able to initiate hugely positive change, whether that be by facilitating the donation process or making services more accessible for users.

“Jo has a very impressive background and knowledge of how digital technology can be used to maximum effect in this area. She has been influential in the digital transformations of all the charities she has previously worked with. I’m confident that Jo is the perfect person for the job and she will be a tremendous asset for the company moving forward.”

Reason Digital was established in 2008 and operates from offices in Manchester and London.
