Forensic Analytics, the digital forensics specialists whose revolutionary technology is used by police forces across the UK, has named former BT Enterprise CEO Gerry McQuade as its new Non-Executive Chairman.

The appointment of McQuade, originally from Glasgow, represents a huge coup for the Hertfordshire-based company, which last month was awarded a Queen’s Awards for Enterprise for its software solutions providing watertight efficiency in dealing with sensitive forensic evidence, from crime scene to courtroom.

McQuade has more than 30 years’ experience in both consumer and B2B technology businesses, including Executive Board positions with international companies including BT, EE, Orange and Virgin. His many successes include the launch of Virgin Mobile, where he was founding director of the business and part of the team that took it from conception to flotation, and eventual sale.

Most recently, McQuade spent over 12 years at EE and then BT, initially joining as the CEO of Wholesale and Ventures before leading the integration of that unit with Business and Public Sector to form the combined Enterprise business in 2018.

He has also worked in small enterprises and entrepreneurial start-ups, where he successfully led the introduction of new lines of business from scratch, increased growth and executed transformation, instigating, and delivering innovative strategies across a range of disciplines.

McQuade said: “I am delighted to be joining Forensic Analytics in what is a very exciting time in their history. I was immediately attracted to the company as it is a client-focused business with an exceptional relationship with its customers and solutions that are unique, but which also delivers meaningful and purposeful outcomes. Its range of capabilities offer significant benefits to both police forces and government agencies across the board.

“I believe my B2B sales and marketing experience, as well as my history of working successfully with start-ups, will be of considerable benefit to Forensic Analytics and can take them on the next stage of their journey, driving growth and introducing innovative new strategies.”

Forensic Analytics Chief Executive, Steve Rick, said: “It is a great privilege to have someone of Gerry’s considerable business ability and acumen taking up the position of Non-Executive Chairman at Forensic Analytics. His appointment represents a huge statement of intent by the company.

“Under Gerry’s watchful eye, Forensic Analytics aims to go from strength to strength, developing further its commercial strategy, serving its impressive range of customers well and increasing its market share.”
