LegalTechAppointments

LegalTech firm Altia has appointed Rob Waters as its new chief commercial officer.

Altia develops specialist investigation software for government departments, law enforcement agencies and private sector businesses.

Active in the UK, Canada and Australia, its solutions include digital casefile and business workflow management software, toolkits to analyse data in financial investigations as well as enterprise application software for covert operations.

Waters will manage the growth of Altia’s fraud, financial crime and investigation solutions and software in the public and private sector in the UK and internationally.

He joins the business from Eden House Solutions – now part of Accenture – where he was group sales director for over eight years.

Prior to that he held senior sales positions at SAP and Hewlett-Packard.

“I’m excited to join Altia at such a pivotal time. Building on the incredible success Altia has had helping law enforcement agencies manage and solve crimes, my focus will be on applying that unrivalled experience across both the public and private sector,” said Waters.

Altia is led by CEO Rob Sinclair, who led a management buyout in November 2020 alongside NorthEdge.

Sinclair said: “Rob is a highly respected commercial leader and has an outstanding track record of truly understanding the challenges clients face and how businesses, like Altia, can help them transform the way they work.

“I’m delighted to welcome Rob on board and can’t wait to see how, together, we can take Altia’s fraud, financial crime and investigation solutions and software to many more clients in both the public and private sector.”

The appointment is one of several senior hires made this year, including Andy Peet (CFO) and Huw Bristow (CTO), as Altia expands its team and seeks significant growth.
