Google Shopping eCommerce marketing platform Bidnamic has launched an office in Austin, Texas as it expands to the US.

The new base will support its growing customer base across the Atlantic, alongside plans for a raft of new hires and focus to expand the R&D for its AI-powered cloud platform.

Following a £4 million investment by Gresham House Ventures in June and the latest appointment of Chris Underhill as chairman, Bidnamic has hired 12 new staff for the US base, adding to a 100+ global workforce.

Heads of sales Adam Ellmore and Tom Stephenson – who have worked with Bidnamic since it was founded in 2018 – will lead the US operation, developing young talent and building on the 700+ retailers and brands the company has worked with over the years.

“We’re absolutely delighted to announce our new Austin office in one of the fastest-growing tech hubs in the USA,” said CEO and co-founder Liam Patterson.

Its US clients include Volcom and fashion marketplace Garmentory.

“With the huge influx of retailers and brands adopting eCommerce, Google Shopping has become more competitive, so companies are looking for cost-effective ways to optimise their offering,” added Patterson.

“We’re confident our platform and team will help them deliver.”

Bidnamic LLC will be incorporated from August 2022 and will be based at the Capital Factory, a collaborative hub and community for leading tech startups in Austin. The team will be attending a number of industry events, including Shopify in Las Vegas, Etail, and GROW in a number of locations across the country.
