The health of the North West’s tech sector will be discussed at the second Tech Barometer event on February 2nd.

The popular event has been organised by tech specialist Fairmont Recruitment and will take place at their Manchester city centre office in Mosley Street.

Award-winning journalist Chris Maguire will host the discussion, which will look at everything from confidence levels in the sector, investment and recruitment.

Speakers include Laura Sisson, investment manager at YFM Equity Partners, Kai Ojo, managing director at Planisware UK, and Jack Donohue, CEO and founder of Fairmont Recruitment.

Sisson joined YFM’s investment team in 2020, having previously worked at KPMG and Morgan Stanley. A polished public speaker she supports YFM Equity Partners in the origination of new growth capital and buyout opportunities, predominantly in the North West.

Tech firms must be profitable sooner

Ojo is a tech leader with over 20 years’ experience working in start-ups, mid-sized and enterprise organisations. He currently heads up the UK office for Planisware, a global leader in Enterprise Project and Portfolio Management software, in MediaCity.

Donohue established Fairmont Recruitment in 2018 and promised to do recruitment differently. The company has achieved record growth after switching staff to four-day weeks and recently moved into Manchester city centre.
