Ethereum (ETH) continued its recent momentum with the biggest rise among the major cryptocurrency coins in the last 24 hours.
At the time of writing (7am UK), the world’s second most valuable crypto had risen 8% to top $2,700 and is 17% up over seven days.
Market leader Bitcoin also gained value with a 3% jump which moved it above $39,300. However BTC is down 2% on its price last Thursday.
Ripple’s XRP coin bounced back after a minor loss in the previous 24 hours to gain 2% to move towards 73 cents and is 2% up in a week.
Cardano (ADA), which gained the most value among the cryptocurrency majors in the previous 24 hours, continued its climb with a 3% rise to reach $1.38. Its seven-day price is up 8%.
Binance Coin (BNB) reached $334 thanks to a 3% jump which puts it 6% up in a week.
Meme coin Dogecoin (DOGE) rebounded with a 2% gain to exactly 20c and is 3% up over seven days.
Voyager Token (VGX) enjoyed the largest rise among the 100 most valuable coins, with a 19% bump putting it at $3.43.
The only loss of any note was Perpetual Protocol (PERP), which dropped 4.5% after gaining 18% in the previous 24-hour period.
The cryptocurrency market gained 4% in value in the last 24 hours, with the 11,000+ coins now worth a collective $1.62 trillion.
