A health and wellbeing app has launched in the UK.
The app from TELUS Health, based in Canada, makes wellbeing support accessible anywhere and has been designed using the COM-B model – an evidence-based approach for enabling behaviour change.
The preventative health tool uses machine learning and calls upon years of academic research to educate, engage and inspire employees to improve their health and achieve their personal wellbeing goals.
TELUS Health Wellbeing syncs with more than 300 wearable health devices, including Apple Health Google Fit, Fitbit and Garmin, offering digital tools and resources to support a more personalised journey for employees.
Alongside real-time health risk assessments, goal setting and activity tracking, it includes the ability to measure overall health with a wellbeing score; collaboration tools to connect with colleagues by sharing tips, ideas and photos in social streams and platform-based communities; and articles and videos that cover physical, mental, financial and dietary health.
TELUS Health Wellbeing is a complement to the company’s established total health services such as EAPs, virtual care, virtual pharmacy and mental health counselling which are currently available to 67 million people globally as it strives to build the healthiest workplaces and communities on the planet.
