A global software firm is plotting to aggressively grow in the UK.
Zensar provides technology design services as well as data engineering and advanced analytics for more than 130 leading companies.
Listed in India, it has a strong presence in the UK, with offices in London, Reading and Norwich.
“Zensar in the UK has shown strong and robust growth,” Chaitanya Rajebahadur, executive vice president and head of Europe for Zensar Technologies, tells BusinessCloud. “Our short-term goal is to keep this momentum.
“We are aggressively looking to grow our team in the UK and expect to see double digit growth to our headcount in the region.”
Having acquired experience design company Foolproof in 2016, Zensar employs more than 380 people in total in the UK, and works with almost 70 subcontractors.
“Traditionally, application and enterprise services have been most in demand. However, the pandemic has fundamentally changed how our customers do business, and in the ‘new normal’ they now find themselves on an accelerated journey of digitalisation,” Rajebahadur explained.
“As a result, we have seen an increased demand for our services in data engineering and analytics, digital foundation services and experience services.
“Since Brexit, it is a costly exercise for employees to work in UK, and not as easy for employers to access and mobilise talent in Europe. We are seeing an increased demand for engineering – full stack, front end development, data science, analytics – and design skills.
“There is also an emphasis on hybrid talent that can provide a cross-section between core engineering skills and design.”
