Pioneering climate-success company 51toCarbonZero has raised £3m in funding to extend its platform across the UK, Europe and US.
The London-based EnviroTech has created the first platform to ensure effective corporate transition to net zero while boosting clients’ business performance.
The funding round was led by Fuel Ventures and included contributions from angel investors. It also follows a previous investment made by Fuel Ventures into the firm.
The company specialises in a growing number of sectors including advertising, sports, entertainment, food and beverage, logistics, automotive and financial services.
The investment will also facilitate the advancement of its platform to better leverage AI and enhance the client experience, making carbon management and reduction more effective.
Lack of AI adoption: Northern firms risk being left behind by London
“This investment marks a pivotal moment for 51toCarbonZero,” said Professor Neil Woodcock, co-founder and executive chairman of 51toCarbonZero.
“With Fuel Ventures’ continued support, we’re poised to extend our reach and enhance our platform’s capabilities, particularly through AI integration.
“Our mission is to simplify the path to net-zero for companies worldwide so we can help reduce emissions by 500m tonnes CO2e, and this funding brings us closer to achieving that.”
Mark Pearson, founder of Fuel Ventures, added: “Our continued investment in 51toCarbonZero underscores our confidence in their mission and the impressive progress they’ve made since our previous investment.
“The 51toCarbonZero team have developed a platform that not only addresses the urgent need for emissions management but also empowers companies to take actionable steps towards sustainability. We’re excited to support their expansion into new markets and industries.”
