Fresha, the London-based AI-powered marketplace and business management platform for the beauty and wellness industry, has announced senior hires in Mexico and Germany as part of its global expansion.
Founded in 2015 by William Zeqiri and Nick Miller – who were included in BusinessCloud’s Founder 250 list – Fresha is one of the fastest-growing beauty and wellness platforms in the world.
In May, the firm secured a £60m ($80m) primary growth investment from funds managed by KKR, valuing the company at more than $1bn.
Fresha has appointed Carlos Walther as head of commercial for Mexico.
Working closely with Scott O’Brien, general manager of North America, Walther will drive Fresha’s expansion in Mexico.
He will focus on growing Fresha’s market presence, acquiring and supporting new partners, developing strategic relationships and helping beauty and wellness businesses grow through its integrated booking, payments, marketplace and business management platform.
The Mexico office will also act as a launchpad for further expansion across Latin America, with Fresha planning additional offices or bases in Brazil, Argentina and beyond.
William Zeqiri, founder and CEO of Fresha, commented: “As Fresha continues its global expansion, Mexico represents one of our most dynamic and highest-potential growth markets.
“The country’s beauty and wellness sector is thriving, and businesses are actively seeking modern, integrated technology to transform their operations. With Carlos Walther leading our commercial team on the ground alongside our North American leadership, we’re excited to deepen our commitment to Mexico and help local businesses unlock their full growth potential.”
Walther said: “I’m excited to build Fresha’s commercial presence in Mexico from the ground up and work closely with local businesses as we grow.”
Fresha has also appointed Mazen Tadli as general manager of Germany and opened a new office in the heart of Berlin.
The office will serve as Fresha’s regional base for scaling its commercial operations and strengthening its presence across Germany, Austria and Switzerland.
The move forms part of Fresha’s wider global expansion, which includes establishing headquarters across Southern Europe, Northern Europe and France.
