Five companies have been selected to join the sixth cohort of the Investment Association’s Engine Innovator Programme.

Regulatory compliance tech creator Clausematch joins Maanch, Door Ventures, moneyinfo and 2RSquared for the programme held within the IA’s FinTech accelerator and innovation hub for the investment management industry.

Maanch is a B-Corp that empowers forward-thinking asset managers and investors to manage, analyse and confidently report on their ESG engagement data via their digital stewardship platform – The Maanch Engagement Tracker. Its clients collectively oversee £200 billion in AUM.

Clausematch uses automation to manage documents that require internal governance, incorporate regulatory obligations and communicate changes to requirements to employees across the organisation more effectively.

Door Ventures provides a digital platform where all information for due diligence questionnaires, request for proposals and other fund and manager research can be provided, accessed, managed and updated universally.

moneyinfo is a fully branded client portal and digital relationship management platform that enables firms to take client engagement to the next level, by sharing encrypted messages and documents, portfolio aggregation and reporting, and digital factfinding & automated workflows to support onboarding and annual review processes.

2RSquared has developed LAB, a business intelligence technology for the investment industry, digitising and linking product development and client interaction, enabling hyper-customisation in quantamental, indexing, ESG and wealth offerings. LAB embeds investment domain knowhow in a no-code platform putting the power of data in the hands of the business user.

The IA advisory panel comprises 28 experts from investment management and related disciplines. Criteria for selection into the latest cohort included solutions that had an emphasis on big data, artificial intelligence, and cloud technology.

“We are very excited to be part of this select group of technology firms to join the latest Engine Innovator Programme,” said Freddie Frith, head of sales at Clausematch, which topped our RegTech 50 ranking last year.

“Given Clausematch’s existing client base in the investment management industry, I’m confident that when compliance teams learn about our platform, they will see the significant benefit and be eager to adopt our solution.

“We look forward to taking advantage of the mentorship that comes with the programme, with the aim of optimising our platform for investment management.”

The six-month program includes support and mentorship as well as connections between the companies and leaders in the investment industry with the mission to showcase the best technology solutions for investment management teams.

Firms will also meet with relevant IA Committees to gather ideas on how their technology can transform industry processes and unlock opportunities.
