Shieldpay, the market leader in secure digital payments, has announced the appointment of Andrew Hawkins as chief technology and product officer.
The former CTO at HSBC and Zopa joins to develop Shieldpay product and technology strategy into 2023 and beyond.
Hawkins said: “I was inspired both by the scale of the opportunity and by Shieldpay’s ambition when I initially met with Pete and the team.
“As we scale, it is critical that our ability to be effective in our delivery of market leading products is world class.

Hawkins has over 25 years of technology experience, spending seven years at Microsoft before holding senior leadership positions at HBSC and most recently, at the unicorn challenger bank Zopa.
