Fantasy football app Gloryhunter signs Betfred deal

Popular fantasy football app Gloryhunter has partnered with betting giant Betfred.

Players of the game which launched last year will now be able to see odds for matches and win prizes from Betfred as well as fellow partner Nike.

Betfred founder Fred Done said: “Gloryhunter is something that true football fans will enjoy this season and it really stood out to me as a digital game that is going to soar in popularity.

“It is based on real-life action on the pitch – and exciting live sport and fans is what Betfred is all about.

“It seemed like a natural fit to join forces and support such an ambitious new digital start-up.”

The premise behind Gloryhunter is to simplify fantasy football as many players struggle to remember to pick their side throughout the season.

Users pick a side from the English leagues to start then, before each match, must choose simply whether to stay with the winners or throw their lot in with the losers.

A score predictor also allows players to climb the league with bonus points for correct scorelines.

Creator Richard Hague (pictured right) said: “Having one of UK’s most trusted and experienced gaming brands behind us is incredible.

“We have big plans for growth this upcoming season and Betfred’s backing will allow us to achieve this.”
