Doctor Care Anywhere has appointed Seema Sangar as chief financial officer and made Ben Kent its permanent CEO.

Sangar is a CIMA-qualified accountant with over 25 years’ experience in finance and 15 years’ experience in senior finance and business roles across several different markets and sectors. 

She has worked in private equity, FTSE 250 and FTSE 100 companies and has been involved in a number of M&A transactions.

Sangar has successfully driven change and transformation programmes to improve and maximise financial performance.

Kent began his career in investment banking then moved into senior finance roles before entering the health sector in 2005. He spent more than seven years at Bupa, including the role of CFO for its international businesses.

He would go on to work in a variety of HealthTech startups, including an earlier stint as COO and CFO of Doctor Care Anywhere – leading the company to a listing on the Australian Securities Exchange – before returning to the firm as interim CEO in February 2023.

He has now been made CEO on a permanent basis at the HealthTech 50 firm.

“I am excited and honoured that the board of Doctor Care Anywhere has appointed me on a permanent basis to the role of chief executive officer after a year as interim CEO,” he wrote on LinkedIn. 

“The team has achieved a huge amount in 2023, and I’m looking forward to leading our business through our next chapter.”
