With less than three months to wait before one of the most hotly anticipated events in the Manchester calendar, the shortlist of finalists for this year’s Digital Entrepreneur Awards has at last been announced.
Including all from start-ups to conglomerates, this year’s selection of DEA finalists shows that businesses of any size are worthy contenders when it comes to scooping an award for their services to digital.
80 businesses from across the country have made the list – a higher number than ever before – which is a true testament to the quality of entries received.
The biggest award category of the night, the Digital Entrepreneur of 2014, sees contenders from INK Digital Agency, R.O. Eye Ltd, Twinkl Ltd, Vashi and VE Interactive battle it out for the top spot.
Meanwhile, names such as Lucozade, Mothercare, Celtic FC and HungryHouse will all pitch their stake in other categories.
Lawrence Jones, judge and CEO of main sponsor UKFast, said: “More entries than ever were received this year, which shows how seriously businesses are taking their contribution to the world of digital today.
“There is so much talent to showcase at the Digital Entrepreneur Awards – whether it’s businesses that have been around for 30 years, or individuals who have made a huge mark on the industry in a relatively short period of time.
“I can’t wait to meet all the finalists on the night, and to celebrate their success.”
The DEAs will take place on October 9, at the Palace Hotel, Oxford Street in Manchester, and promises to be the most successful event to date. Alongside Lawrence Jones, judges include Ann Summers CEO Jacqueline Gold, Brother MD Phil Jones, BBC North Director Peter Salmon and Entrepreneur co-founder Alice Bentinck.
