Ethereum and Solana spiked in the last 24 hours as the cryptocurrency market rose in value.
At the time of writing (7am UK), ETH – the world’s second most valuable token – is at $4,750 after gaining 7%. The smart contract blockchain platform is 11% up in a week.
Solana (SOL) climbed 8% to $220 and is around 1% up over seven days.
Polkadot (DOT) gained 5% to just below $38, leaving it 4% down over seven days, while Cardano (ADA) climbed less than 1% to $1.59 and is 6% down in a week.
Ripple (XRP) and Binance Coin (BNB) each gained 2% to $1.01 and $630 respectively, which leaves them down 3% and up 7% on their prices last Wednesday.
Market leader Bitcoin (BTC) is up less than 1% to above $57,100 and is more or less where it was a week ago.
SHIBA INU (SHIB), the Ethereum-based spinoff from Dogecoin, lost 4% yet is 16% up over seven days; while meme coin DOGE is at 21.5 cents after a fall of less than 1%.
Avalanche (AVAX) is at $126 following a 7% gain. Its seven-day price is up 5%.
The overall market cap of the more than 15,000 coins remains at $2.64 trillion, up 2.5% in the last 24 hours.
