The cryptocurrency market dropped almost 5% in the last 24 hours as all the major coins lost value.
Avalanche (AVAX) lost 8% to $73 at the time of writing (7am UK) and is 13% down in a week.
A 7% loss puts Solana (SOL) below $83, leaving it 18% down over the course of seven days.
Market leader Bitcoin (BTC) and Ethereum (ETH) each dropped 5% to $39,300 and below $2,600 respectively. They are 9% and 11% lower than their prices last Thursday morning.
Terra (LUNA) – the year’s stellar performer – only fell 2% following an astonishing 22% rise in the previous 24-hour period. LUNA is just below $95 and 2% higher than its price a week ago.
Ripple (XRP) shed 1% to fall away from 74 cents. That leaves it 4% down over seven days.
Cardano (ADA) lost 4% to drop towards 80c and is 13% down in a week while meme coin Dogecoin (DOGE) is down 5% and back below 12c. DOGE is 12% down in a week.
Binance Coin (BNB) is at $377 following a 5% loss. Its seven-day price is down 7%.
Polkadot (DOT) shed 5% to $16.81 and is 8% down in a week.
The overall market cap of the more than 18,000 coins is at $1.74 trillion, a 4.7% decrease in the last 24 hours.
