Energy tech firm UD Group has announced a raft of new contract wins to mark the beginning of 2018.
The rapidly growing platform provider for the energy and utilities sector has added national energy providers Yorkshire Gas & Power and Corona Energy to its stable.
It already counts the likes of npower, Scottish Power and EDF amongst its portfolio, with more major contracts to be announced in the coming months.
The Manchester firm is using data to drive the evolution of the market after signing deals with several of the Big Six energy companies.
UD Group provides online portals which suppliers and brokers can use to deliver the best deals to customers, based on their usage, and register new clients.
Its platform has been refined with significant upgrades over the past 12 months to support growing transactional bandwidth and international customers.
“As the energy and utilities market continues to evolve and become more competitive, UD Group has become the recognised partner of choice for retailers looking to technology to digitally transform the customer acquisition journey,” said UD Group CEO Simon Cook.
“Over the past year we’ve added a majority stake in the energy sector, and we’ve every confidence of replicating that success both in new territories and areas of the utilities market.
“The technology behind our Platform is enabling real change for our clients and the way they do business so it’s vital that we continue to invest in it and ensure it remains integral to their offering.”
The announcements follow a successful 2017 for the Group as it diversified its offering to enter the water utilities market, securing Water Plus – the UK’s biggest water retailer – amongst others.
The business also made its first steps in the US as it established its US division, with a view to specifically servicing the retail energy market in North America.
