Communications expert joins Now Healthcare Group

Now Healthcare Group has appointed Lisa Wood as head of communications.

Europe’s largest digital healthcare provider has boosted its senior team following a successful period of growth for the MediaCityUK-based business.

In only three years since launching, the firm – which has consumer-facing products Now Patient and Now GP – has disrupted the digital health market with its innovative tech and digital solutions and is predicting by the end of 2017 they will be supporting upwards of 20 million people across the world.

Wood worked most recently as a freelance communications consultant and has extensive experience in communications and brand building.

She spent eight years delivering creative communications and marketing for The Peel Group on the prestigious MediaCityUK development.

“Technology has completely changed the way we live and is continually revolutionising our lives,” she said.

“The digital health industry is of huge importance to improving our physical and mental health and I am thrilled to be working in such a pioneering business and sector.

“The vision and plans for the NHG are radical and I look forward to helping them build their brand and share their ground-breaking stories”.

Now Healthcare Group recently became the first provider its field to be found by Government regulator the Care Quality Commission to be providing services that are safe, responsive, effective, well-led and caring.

CEO and founder Lee Dentith said: “It is such a pivotal time for NHG as we continue to develop ground-breaking technologies to enhance the health of our growing population.

“We recently launched our free app Now Patient, which has today been announced as the No1 download in the App Store, so it is a perfect time for Lisa to join our business, to help share our stories and build our brand over the coming months.”
