The major cryptocurrencies have held value in the last 24 hours, while XRP jumped 4% in value.

At the time of writing (7am UK), Ripple’s coin was just under 68 cents and is up 9% in a week.

After the majors held value from Monday to Tuesday morning, they again held steady in the last 24 hours despite the FCA’s announcement on Sunday that it would ban crypto exchange Binance from conducting any regulated activity in the UK.

Bitcoin (BTC) was up slightly to $34,800, with a seven-day price increase of 1%.

Ethereum (ETH) remained static at around $2,100 and is 4% higher than a week ago.

Binance Coin (BNB) rose a half-percentage point to $296 and is 1% up in a week.

Cardano (ADA), is at $1.33 after barely moving. It is 5% higher than its value seven days ago.

Dogecoin (DOGE) is at 25c. The meme coin, which was extremely volatile last week, dipped 2% but its seven-day price is up 16%.

The overall market cap of the approximate 10,700 coins is at $1.37 trillion, a 3% decrease in 24 hours.

Scaleup fighting crypto crime set for UK growth

Ethereum Classic (ETC) was the biggest winner, climbing 30% to more than $58, putting it 46% up in a week.

Kusama (KSM) fell the most among the 100 most valuable coins, dropping 7% to $207 after a big rise in the previous 24-hour period.
