The leading cryptocurrency coins lost value in the last 24 hours.

At the time of writing (7am), Bitcoin (BTC) fell back below $37,000 again with a 5% dip which cancelled out the gains from Wednesday to Thursday.

Ripple’s XRP coin is worth less than $1 again after an 8% drop. It is up 5% on last Friday morning but way back from its record valuation of $1.91, set a few weeks ago.

Ethereum (ETH) lost most of its gains in the previous 24-hour period, dropping 6% to around $2,660. It is up 3% on last Friday but again, its record price of $4,300, set last month, seems a long way off.

Dogecoin (DOGE) was the largest loser among the majors. The coin created as a crypto parody and based on a meme is down 13% in 24 hours to 38 cents.

Backed for great things by Tesla CEO Elon Musk, it had climbed in recent days and remains 17% up on its price seven days ago.
