Excited homeowners can now see their new property being built after the launch of a new app by Miller Homes.
The app – known as My Miller Home – is thought to be the first of its kind by a national homebuilder and is aimed at customers who have reserved a plot.
Through the app they can access a wide range of information about their homebuying journey from their smartphone or tablet. This includes updates on the build progress of their home, meeting information and copies of customer signed documentation, purchased options, demonstration videos, floorplans, essential information and documents.
Anne Marie Britton, group sales & marketing director at Miller Homes said: “Buying a home is a significant lifetime purchase and we are delighted to launch an app that helps our customers feel even more involved in this exciting milestone in their lives.
“With a host of features, the app brings together all the information they need in one convenient place, helping them stay close to the creation of their home as it progresses.”
The launch of the app follows the success of Miller Homes’ online reservation system. In September 2017, Miller Homes became the first homebuilder to enable customers to reserve and pay a deposit on their dream home via its website and since then more than 540 customers have taken the opportunity to do so.
An app was also created for site managers to reduce the burden of paperwork and QR codes are available on appliances and features in their new home to make it easier for customers to operate.
Graeme Stirling, group IT director at Miller Homes, added: “We are extremely proud of the innovations we have rolled out in the last few years, all of which have been developed around the needs of today’s buyers and designed to complement each other to enhance the overall experience of buying a brand new Miller home.”
The new app is available on the Apple and Android devices via the Apple App store or Google Play store. Features on the My Miller Home app are also available on the new-look online customer portal which has been revamped with a fresh look and feel to complement the launch of the app.
