Smart city tech firm VivaCity has appointed Anna Keren as its new chief technology officer.

Keren joins VivaCity – 10th on our TransportTech 50 ranking late last year – from Thirdfort, where she was chief technology and product officer. Her previous experience includes VP of technology at ComplyAdvantage and director of engineering at Babylon Health.

VivaCity’s co-founder and previous CTO, Yang Lu, is transitioning to technical founder and will be focusing his time on pure technology, lending his deep expertise to some of the hardest problems in the industry.

Mark Nicholson, CEO and co-founder at VivaCity, said: “Anna brings a wealth of experience from key tech sectors, and will be essential in the continued advancement of VivaCity’s products.

“With our ongoing international expansion and the evolution of our Smart Road Safety technology, she will be an integral part of the company’s innovation in the coming years.

“We’d also like to thank Yang for his invaluable contribution and dedication since we founded VivaCity together with Peter Mildon back in 2015.”
