Animmersion reveals ambitious plans for next 5 years

Virtual reality specialist Animmersion has announced plans to double staff and triple turnover in the next five years.

The Middlesbrough-based firm, which also produces holograms and animations for businesses around the world, was launched in 2006.

It has spent the best part of a decade growing organically, but revealed a new focused growth strategy to develop its services, according to the Gazette.

MD Dominic Lusardi said “Advances in technology and virtual reality has led to an acceptance that digital media is here to stay.

“This means that the opportunities we have as a business are growing dramatically and we want to scale-up to match those opportunities.”

The company currently turns over just under £1m, and expects to expand its team of 18 to more than 30 by 2020.

Working from Middlesbrough’s Boho One, it operates across a number of sectors including engineering, subsea, manufacturing, offshore, healthcare, automotive and retail.
