Abingdon Health plc, a York-based developer, manufacturer and provider of regulatory services for rapid diagnostic tests and MedTech, has opened its new manufacturing hub in the United States.
The company’s facility is at University Research Park in Madison, Wisconsin.
An official ribbon-cutting event was attended by Congressman Mark Pocan, representing Wisconsin’s 2nd Congressional District; Madison Mayor Satya Rhodes-Conway; WEDC Secretary John Miller; various representatives from the Wisconsin State Legislature; leaders of Wisconsin’s biohealth industry; as well as representatives from the company.
Abingdon says the new manufacturing facility represents a significant step forward for the company’s US operations, providing it with the infrastructure and capacity to respond to growing demand for high-quality, rapidly deployable diagnostic testing solutions.
“The opening of our Madison manufacturing hub is a significant milestone for Abingdon Health USA that enables us to offer a more comprehensive and integrated ‘end to end’ CDMO solution for our US customers, paving the way for continued growth in the biggest MedTech market in the world,” said Chris Yates, president of Abingdon Health USA and chief commercial officer of Abingdon Health plc.
